MEET THE BOARD

Picture
Barbara Eaman, President
After a few years of admiring Wildwood from a distance, Barbara, Rob (husband), Theo (6th grade) and Wyatt (4th grade) moved here in 2017. Barbara has a bachelor’s in Theatre, a master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine and an entirely unrelated career in finance.  Parenting, work and PTO-ing take up a lot of her time, but in her down time she loves to read, garden, walk in the forest preserve, entertain friends and travel. She joined the PTO to be more connected to Wildwood as a central part of her community and to use her skills to contribute to the success of the school. Barbara is in her fifth year as a board member of the Friends of Wildwood PTO. She has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President and is now serving her second year as President.

Cristina Moravy, Vice President
This is Cristina Moravy’s second year on the PTO. She and her husband, Leif, moved to Wildwood seven years ago.  She loves the woods and small town feel Wildwood provides, while remaining so close to the city. Her oldest, Simone, is starting 3rd grade this year, while her son Axel will be entering 1st grade.
Cristina taught 4th grade before she started staying home with her children. She’s looking forward to helping the PTO provide lots of opportunities for the students and families of Wildwood to connect and have fun while raising money for school resources.  She loves reading, traveling, and seeing live music.

Abby Stayart, Vice President
Abby may be from a small town in central Massachusetts, but she has lived in Chicago since moving here for college in 1993. Many years later during graduate school, she met and married her husband, Andrew (a native Chicagoan) and rehabbed his childhood home in Irving Park, where they now live with their twins, Andrew and Lucy. The kids joined Wildwood IB Elementary through school lottery in 2022 and are now heading into fourth grade. For Abby, parenting twins has been exponentially more difficult than anything else she has ever done and she is grateful every day for fellow parents who care about creating a community of trust, safety, and laughter for their children. Abby is excited to support the mission of the PTO and become more integrated into the Wildwood IB Elementary community as a whole.

Zac Adelman, Secretary
Zac Adelman lives in the Wildwood neighborhood with his wife (Caroline), two daughters, and two dogs. His daughters, Sophia (5th grade) and Eliza (2nd grade), have been at the school since the 2023-24 school year. Zac is an environmental scientist who specializes in air pollution and computer modeling. He’s the Executive Director of an organization that works with the states in the Great Lakes region to clean up our air. Zac is very excited to be involved in the PTO and he’s motivated to build partnerships within our community to make Wildwood an exceptional center of learning and social/emotional growth for our children.

Chrizzy Calixto, Treasurer
Chrizzy and her husband Hanam live in the Wildwood neighborhood with their two daughters Penny (1st grade) and Zoe (Pre-K).  Both native Chicagoans and CPS alums, Chrizzy and Hanam moved to Wildwood 5 years ago so their girls could be part of an awesome community, being a part of the PTO has helped make Wildwood a home.  Chrizzy is an Accountant in the Financial Services industry and the role of Treasurer was a natural fit, but she is ready to help in any way she can.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling near and far with her family and being around good friends.

Picture
Claire Schaul, Past President
Claire grew up in the area and has lived in Wildwood for 9 years with her husband, Ryan, and two kids. She has Dean, a 5th grader, and Mae, a 3rd grader. Claire is a career-long marketer, currently leading marketing efforts for Humana. Claire loves the feeling of community in the school and neighborhood. The PTO events help bring the community together to have fun and make a better school for our kids. In her free time you’ll find her cooking, getting some exercise or hanging out with friends and family.

Meghann Artes, General Board Member
Meghann and her husband Joe (Lyons) have lived in Wildwood for the last 13 years.  They have three kids, Tate (4th grade), Jake (2nd grade) and Millie (kindergarten).  They love the neighborhood and are especially excited to meet other parents and families now that Tate, Jake and Millie are all going to Wildwood!  Meghann teaches animation and filmmaking at DePaul University. She loves to make films, sometimes likes to workout (but most of the time she doesn’t), and she never passes up an opportunity to find that one hidden gem at a good flea market or antique shop.

Lucinda Fickel, General Board Member
Lucinda remembers considering Wildwood "I don't know, like practically Glenview?" when dispatched to visit from Hyde Park as a grad school intern and newly-minted Chicagoan. The charm was memorable, and a decade later, she completed her northwest migration through the city, landing here in 2016 with her husband, Justin Miles. Their son Edison is in first grade, and it's Lucinda's first year on the board. Her professional career has centered on advocacy and engagement in pursuit of better and more equitable outcomes for children, and she is grateful for the opportunity to do that work on a micro-level in the community she treasures.

Katie Murphy, General Board Member
Katie graduated from Taft High School and always loved the Edgebrook neighborhood. In October 2021, she and her husband Andrew moved their kids and dog, Velma Dinkley, to Wildwood/North Edgebrook for the school and a sense of community. Katie has been in nonprofit for 9+ years and is the Database, Advancement, and Technology Manager for Harper College Educational Foundation. She joined the PTO to continue fueling her passion for education and love of making the world a better place, especially for our kids. When not at home, Katie, Andrew, and kids Finnegan (3rd grade), Wyatt (Pre-K), and Gideon (1 year-old) can be found in Disney.

Renee Neumeier, General Board Member
Renee, her husband, Owen, and their 4th grade daughter Lettie, moved to Wildwood right before kindergarten. Renee loves Wildwood and sees being part of the PTO as a way to get more involved and support the needs of the school, the students and their families.   Her first experience working with the PTO was when she worked with members to plan the Book Bash.  Renee is the Director of Staff and Organizational Development at Chicago Public Library and has worked in public libraries for her whole career.  Renee is passionate about community engagement,  racial equity, and social justice.  She also loves gardening, hiking, traveling, and macarons.

M. Viviana Proano, General Board Member
Viviana & her husband Matt moved to Norwood Park in 2009.  Having grown up in Arlington Heights & Champaign-Urbana, they wanted the quaint feel of a suburb while still living in the city.  When it was time for their son Finn (1st grade) to attend school they learned the ins & outs of CPS & used the lottery system to access the best education possible.  Wildwood has been an amazing school and thanks to the PTO, a community they can call home.  They both believe in giving back as much as they receive and hope to do so by supporting the PTO.
